Magic Star Design Graphic Contest #1


The Theme

For the first contest of the new born Magic Star Design, I've decided to left the them open! You have to produce a set of 5 100x100px icons which match the same theme. The common theme is not necessary the subject: it can be the style, the shapes, the brushes, the colours, the textures... the important fact is that all the 5 icons are related each other with some visible relationship.

The Rules

To inaugurate the Membership System here at MSD, you have to follow these rules to join the Contest and to have a chance to win:

- First, you have to Register at Magic Star Design (registration is free), so that you can set up your own profile; you can use it in the next contest then. Only MSD registered members can join the contest!

- Then, from your control panel, you can submit your icons (it doesn't matter the name you give to the file, the system will rename them). But please, remember: When you submit an icon for the contest, in the Comments and Resources textarea write: Contest 1 so that I can add them to the entry of the contest. Please remember, this is important!

- Take the banner below, and put it on your homepage (if you have one) so that other people can join the contest and make the competition more relevant!

- Please remember that all the entry will be published in MSD Icons section, each author will be fully credited.


If you meet some problems with the membership system, if you forget something or made a mistake, feel free to contact me via PM, tagboard or email and I will fix your problem!

The Prizes for the winners

The Jury is composed by me, Alis (aka Lenne) and I will judge the sets on Tuesday 21th July 2009. Since there are many type of matching themes here, there will be a winner, a second place and a third place for each one of these categories: Textures, Subject, Colours, Shapes, Brushes, Style; these are the Regular Winners, plus there will be a Grand Prize winner, who can also be a winner of one of the other prizes. These prizes are intended to let you advertise your website and get more exposure at Blissful Rotation and Magic Star Design.

Regular Winners - 1st Place Prizes (one for category)

- Award
- 10000 Credits to Blisfful Rotation (this means 10000 impression of your banner on other sites members of the rotation, I've more than 1300 members actually), if you are not a member, it would be great to join it because it is a great way to start advertising your site this way!*
- I will show your 88x31 (or 100x35) banner for Two Months on every page of Magic Star Design.

Regular Winners Prizes - 2nd Place Prizes (one for category)

- Award
- 5000 Credits to Blissful Rotation (this means 5000 impressions of your banner on other sites members of the rotation, I've more than 1300 members actually), if you are not a member, it would be great to join it because it is a great way to start advertising your site this way!*
- I will show your 88x31 (or 100x35) banner for One Months on every page of Magic Star Design.

- I will show your 88x31 (or 100x35) banner for Three Months on every page of Magic Star Design.




* This is how Blissful Rotation works: when you join it, you receive a CODE. When you put the code on your site, you start collecting a credit each time the code is showed on your page (your pageviews). For each credit you gain, your banner will be exposed one time on others members' website. This means that to get 10000 and so on credits you must receive 10000 pageviews. With this prizes, you will receive 10000 and so on exposures of your banner all in one time!
