In questo tutorial vi insegnerò a creare un Avatar usando un template precreato.

In this tutorial I'll teach you how to create an Avatar using a template.

Aprite un'immagine a vostra scelta, quindi prendete lo strumento di selezione rettangolare e impostate nei menu in alto la proporzione fissa 1x1 px.

-ENG- open an image and the take the rectangular marquee tool, check in the menu the Proportion 1x1px.

Quindi selezionate la parte dell' immagine che volete utilizzare per il vostro avatar. Cliccate Immagine-->Ritaglia e la parte dell'immagine selezionata verrà ritagliata. Ora avrete un quadrato ma le dimensioni?? Non saranno certo quelle che vi interessano! Allora cliccate su Immagine--> Dimensione Immagine e vi si aprirà una nuova finestra. Se la casella Mantieni proporzioni non è già segnata allora segnatela, in modo da non rovinare l'immagine. Quindi cambiate la larghezza della vostra immagine in modo che coincida con quella del vostro template. Nel mio caso sarà 100 px. Automaticamente il computer cambierà anche l'altezza e se avrete seguito bene i procedimenti avrete la larghezza uguale all'altezza, quindi in questo caso un'immagine 100x100px. Ricordate che è meglio rimpicciolire un'immagine anziche ingrandirla. Quindi fate in modo, a occhio, che la vostra selezione sia leggermente più grande del vostro avatar (se non è uguale).

-ENG- Then select the part of the image you want to use for the avatar. The click on Image-->Cut and you'll obtain a regular square. The click on Image--> Size image and change the size of width. It must be the same of the template you want to use.  Then the pc automatically will turn the height of the image. So now you must have height=width. I put width 100 px so we'l have an avatar 100x100 px.

Quindi aprite il template, selezionatelo con lo strumento di selezione rettangolare e cliccate su Modifica--> Copia. Tornate alla vostra immagine e cliccate su Modifica-->Incolla. In questo modo avrete due livelli, uno con l'immagine e uno sovrapposto con il template. Ora, se il vostro template è bianco e non trasparente, armatevi di buona pazienza e cancellate con la gomma SOLO le parti in cui volete far comaprire l'immagine. Per facilitarvi l'operazione (noiosa) ingrandite l'immagine. Ricordatevi che lo strumento gomma deve essere impostato su Matita, in modo da non creare aloni. (vedi tutorial Come creare un template).

Se il vostro template è trasparente e vedete l'immagine sottostante, allora prendete lo strumento secchiello e deselezionate la casella Anti-Alias. Quindi scegliete un colore che NON compaia nell'immagine del vostro avatar. Un colore che assolutamente non c'entri niente, meglio se molto acceso. Io ad esempio per quest'immagine ho scelto un verde molto acceso. Riempite ora nel livello del template le parti che vorrete trasparenti.

-ENG- Then open the template, select it with the rectangular marquee tool and click on Edit-->Copy. Then turn back to your image and click Edit-->Paste. Now you have two layers, with the template at the top and the image at the bottom. Now, if your template is white and not transparent you have to delete with the eraser tool (on Pencil mode, see the tutorial How to create a template) all the parts of the template which have to contain the image.

If your template is transparent you can jump to the following step: take this Fill tool and choose a color that doesn't appear in your image. Make sure that Anti.alias is deselected. Than fill in the template layer all the parts that you want to be transparent in your avatar.

Ora aggiungete nome, decorazioni, cambiate il colore della cornice, insomma fate al vostro avatar quello che più vi piace. Quindi passiamo al salvataggio, che è la parte più importante. Cliccate su File-->Salva per Web. Nelle impostazioni selezionate gif come formato e nella tavolozza dei colori cliccate sul colore delle parti che volete cancellare e, una volta selezionatelo, cliccate sul pulsantino a scacchi sotto la tavolozza di colore. In questo modo quel colore verrà sostituito con la trasparenza. Ora dove prima c'era quel colore dovete vedere la classica "scacchiera" bianca e grigia della trasparenza. Bene, Salvate ora il vostro avatar e il gioco è fatto!!

-ENG- Then edit the avatar as you want. When you want to save it click on File-->Save for Web. Now select the gif format and select the color of he part you want to be transprent. The click on the button at the bottom of the colors which has the squares. So all the parts with that color will turn into transparence.
