Hanagumori - Digital Painting Tutorial

Time ago I told you that there’s was online an amazing Digital Painting Tutorial, written by Diane Özdamar, about her famous gorgeous painting, Hanagumori. Now, after about two years, she made an update to her old tutorial: now you will find a FLASH tutorial with more working process details of this painting. I think it can be really useful for people who want to learn these techniques! Like in the past version of the tutorial, there are also the Brush set used to make the painting, and the eight-parts-splitted video recording of the painting process!

For now, take this Artist Profile article I’ve found at CGSociety about a great illustrator, Michael Kutsche who landed in Hollywood from this art community. He worked as character designer at Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.

See soon with new articles, have fun!

Desktopography 2009 is here!

Desktopography 2009Desktopography is a stunning non-profit project where designers from all over the world create nature / topological themed wallpapers. As said on their site:

Designers spend about 90% of their waking life in front of a computer so the most appealing genre for a wallpaper would be one that has beautiful design mixed with the all important aspect of being outdoors.

Each year a new wallpaper exhibition is released, now it’s time for the 2009 one!  Here below, you will find some previews of the wallpapers I’ve selected from the exhibition, the ones I truly like.
